Adriano Baldanzi and Alessandro Novelli, began to work along with other colleagues after studying Industrial Design in Florence, devoting themselves to corporate design and image. They worked in various different product categories such as upholstered products, motorcycle helmets, electrical appliances and air conditioners etc. Having gained experience, they established the Baldanzi & Novelli studio in 1984. That same year, they founded CASAMANIA, an accessories company, which was initially distributed by FREZZA and subsequently sold to it. Excellent collaboration continued with FREZZA SPA with the CASAMANIA BY FREZZA, brand, for which the studio designed dozens of products among which the FESTIVAL shelving system stands out. Designed in 1988, was updated from year to year in order to render the options always up-to-date and to extend them.. In 1991, the studio began to devote itself to office armchairs by designing "DATA", a small, very simple and inexpensive armchair for communities, in plastic with a metal structure. This was a veritable production challenge, for which the studio was to be awarded the FORUM DESIGN OFFICE in EIMU in Milan and Cologne, and whose chair concept, conceived by B&N, was subsequently to be taken by other companies. In 1995, B&N encountered BUM, which asked the studio to design a product that could cover various different sectors, identify the company in the international panorama and provide it with greater visibility. The result was EVERYDAY and close collaboration between B&N and BUM began with it.
